Title of the Workshop: SLS – Composite Simplified Layering System for Great Esthetics in Less Time
Dr. Anca Pavlovici is a highly skilled dental specialist, with expertise in endodontics and general dentistry. Graduating from the Faculty of Dentistry at UMP “Carol Davila”, she furthered her education by completing a Master’s Programme in Clinical and Surgical Microendodontics at the University of Turin. Dr. Pavlovici has been serving patients in private practice in Bucharest, demonstrating her dedication to continuous learning and professional development.
The theoretical presentation will cover the core principles of the SLS technique, focusing on composite selection, layering techniques, and common mistakes to avoid.
In the hands-on activity, participants will practice the SLS technique by restoring a class IV cavity using three different translucency composites. They’ll learn effective layering and final polishing techniques to enhance esthetics. If participants bring real tooth with a class 4 cavity already prepared it can be used for this workshop.

Dr. Irina Drăgan is board certified and an examiner for the American Board of Periodontology and Implant Dentistry. She is part-time faculty in postgraduate periodontics at Harvard School of Dental Medicine and an adjunct associate professor at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.
She is a periodontist and clinical researcher at The Perio Studio, a practice limited to periodontology and implant dentistry in Boston, MA.
